About the course

This course is a study of Islamic Logic using the text, As-Sullam Al-Munawraq by Imam Abdul Rahman Al-Akhdhari. This acquaints students with the concepts and methodologies of scholars in the Islamic tradition relating to the different forms of statements, arguments, knowledge, syllogisms, universals, etc. This will develop the study of other vital Islamic sciences, such as Aqidah (Belief) and Usul Al-Fiqh (Legal Theory).

Shaykh Atabek Shukurov al-Nasafi

Shaykh Atabek Shukurov al-Nasafi was born in Uzbekistan, where his religious studies began. He memorized the Holy Qur’an at a young age and continued his religious education, eventually becoming a young scholar at the age of 15 and becoming an Imam. It was at this age he also began issuing religious verdicts. He has studied in various countries around the world and has done so at the feet of many illustrious scholars of our time. His main expertise is in Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Usul-ul-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence), Qawaid-ul-Fiqh (Legal Maxims), Tafsir (Interpretation of Quran), and Philosophy and Aqeedah (Theology). He also graduated from Al-Azhar University with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Theology. Altogether, he has studied under around 80 teachers. He resides in the U.K and is the founder of Avicenna Academy, Ibn Sina Institute of Herbology and is also part of our Madina Institute Global Faculty.
